Recently, in the Tangjiahe area of the Giant Panda National Park, the life footprints of the national first-class protected animals, the takins, have appeared many times.

The Tangjiahe area of the Giant Panda National Park is a key region with high encounter rates of takins. In 2012, the Sichuan Takin Tangjiahe Wildlife Conservation Research Center was established, which has been tracking the takins for 10 years and found that about 1,300 of them are now living in the Tangjiahe River.

It is understood that the good ecological environment of Tangjiahe is fit for many protected wild animals living here, in which takins are the largest wild herbivores in the Tangjiahe area.
