Contracts for 42 Major Industrial Projects Signed in Wuxi

Themed "Join hands to build a demonstration district on the new journey", 2022 Wuxi Xishan Golden Autumn Investment Promotion and Cooperation Forum was held in Xishan District of Wuxi City, East China's Jiangsu Province, on November 12.

Contracts for 42 major industrial projects were signed at the forum, with the total investment amount of CNY 44.54 billion, involving industries like biomedicine, integrated circuits, as well as new energies resources and materials.

In recent years, Xishan implemented the core strategy to develop economy by innovation and the leading strategy of promoting developmentby key industries, sticking to developing industrial clusters and specialized parks. Based on Wuxi's "465" modern industrial system, it spared on effort to build industrial clusters to facilitate the development of four emerging industries, namely integrated circuits, biomedicine and medical devices, new materials, and artificial intelligence, as well as to boost the further advancement of four traditional preponderant industries, namely electric vehicle, electronic information, high-end equipment, and high-end textile and garment. Besides, "16+3+2" specialized parks have been constructed in Xishan.

At the launch ceremony of the strategic cooperation of Xishan's specialized parks, the first batch of six specialized parks reached agreement on cooperation with six specialized funds and six specialized institutions respectively. Xishan continuously enhances the development mode of "park+fund+institution". It hopes to become a competitive and influential modern industrial cluster in the Yangtze River Delta region, with the help of capital market and high-end platforms.

Measures to reward institutions, groups, enterprises and individuals that introduce major industrial, technology and talent projects to Xishan were issued at the forum, in which the maximum reward for introducing a single project is CNY 5 million. In addition, ten enterprises were nominated as Ten Outstanding Enterprises in Investment over the Amazing Decade due to their great contribution to the high-quality development of Xishan's economy and society.
