Chengdu Universiade Shooting Venue Lights up

The 31st Summer Universiade will be held from June 26 to July 7, 2022. Recently, the shooting venue of the Chengdu Universiade in Jinjiang District of Chengdu has been lit up. With colorful neon lights lit up one by one on its exterior, the entire venue is like a "rainbow pavilion" standing against the night sky.

The renovation and expansion of the Chengdu Universiade shooting venue began from 2020 and finished in February 2021. The venue has a construction area of 13,321.75 square meters, with three floors above ground and one underground. The venue is divided into four parts, with the 10-meter and 25-meter competition halls on the first floor, the 50-meter competition hall on the second floor, and the final hall on the third floor. There are eighty 10-meter shooting targets and sixty 25-meter shooting targets on the first floor; sixty 50-meter shooting targets on the second floor, and 10 targets in the final hall, all of which have adopted the Hughes Electronic Target System with ISSF Level-III certification.

The venue will undertake shooting training, warm-up and competition during the Universiade. The Universiade shooting group match and final will also be held there. Awardees of 18 gold medals will be witnessed in the venue. At present, the venue is undergoing further refinement and deductions to ensure the smooth operation of training, warm-up and competitions during the event.
