The temperature approached 35 degrees Celsius around eight o'clock on August 7. "There is nothing more refreshing than a cup of herbal tea on such a hot day when you are thirsty," said Gong Guanyu, a sanitation worker, taking a full cup of tea and drinking it straight down. He gave the thumbs up to the setting up of the herbal tea stall.

The herbal tea stall in summer is a well-known non-profit program in Nanmen Community of Tongjun Sub-district, Tonglu County, Zhejiang Province. Community volunteers set up the herbal tea stall in front of the Nanmen Community Elders' Canteen to offer free herbal tea and other summer drinks between July 1 and September 30 each year.

The herbal tea stall is open 24/7 for the entire three months. Apart from the one in Nanmen Community, more and more non-profit herbal tea stalls are found in the streets of Tonglu County, bringing coolness to people during the hot summer.

In the baking hot summer, a cup of herbal tea not only brings people closer, but also demonstrates the goodwill and warmth of Tonglu County.
