Commercial Aerospace Enterprises Gather to Foster High-quality Development of Aerospace Industry in Xi'an

On April 20th, the Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base hosted the launching ceremony of the "Hello, Aerospace" Aerospace Dream Chasing Week and the Conference on Aerospace Industry Supply Chain. The event brought together numerous professionals from the aerospace industry, each with their own unique stories of perseverance and achievement in pursuit of their aerospace dreams.

Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base

During the event, four projects were signed on-site by entities such as the Xi'an Branch of the Second Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), with a contract value totaling CNY 3.97 billion. Additionally, the event saw the release of the first group of the 2023 Demand List of Aerospace Industrial Chain by four scientific and technological research institutes. The list contained 43 project categories, focusing on areas such as key raw materials and parts production, processing, and R&D. The total demand for these projects reached about CNY 1.15 billion.

As the only national-level economic and technological development zone in China dedicated to the aerospace industry, the Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base has been guided by the needs of our country and strove to promote its growth by focusing on the aerospace industry. To date, the industrial base is home to over 30 percent of the driving force in the Chinese aerospace science and technology industry and also attracted around 90 percent of Shaanxi's scientific and technological research institutes, professionals, and R&D entities to settle here. It has given impetus to the growth of the entire aerospace industrial chain, covering rocket engine R&D and production, satellite payload R&D and production, the on-orbit spacecraft measurement, control, and management, and the application of satellite data, reflecting the vital contributions of the industrial base to the major national science and technology special projects as well as the national defense advancements.

A commercial aerospace enterprise in the Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base

On April 22, the Sixth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation launched three liquid-propellant rocket engines dedicated to commercial aerospace activities. This milestone marks an achievement, as it underscores the expanded markets that national entities specializing in liquid-propellant rocket engine technology have been able to penetrate in recent times. Currently, over 40 commercial aerospace enterprises now spare no effort to strive ahead in the Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base. In light of their efforts, they have established an industrial chain that encompasses rocket structure design, launching of rockets, satellite application, propulsion system, and remote sensing applications. Through efforts to attract non-governmental investment, they aim to facilitate the continued prosperity of China's aerospace industry.
