On May 25, the event titled "Consular Officials Are Coming – Hello, Shenyang" commenced in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, featuring consular officials visiting Laobeishi.
The officials from eight general consulates in Shenyang, representing the United States, Japan, DPRK, Russia, ROK, France, Germany and Australia, joined international students from countries along the Belt and Road in a visit to Laobeishi. Together, they experienced the vibrant atmosphere of this state-level metropolitan area, immersing themselves in its passion and energy.

This event marks a new milestone in international communication within Shenyang, following the success of the "Overseas Internet Influencers and Youths of the Belt and Road on the Internet-Famous Ancient Pedestrian Street – Season I". It further strengthens the city's commitment to fostering cross-cultural exchange and engagement.

During the event, consular officials and international students had the opportunity to explore the immersive "Zhenyouhe" commercial complex in the southern area of Laobeishi, where they indulged in the local delicacies of Shenyang. They were captivated by traditional crosstalk shows and witnessed the display of intangible cultural heritage such as wrestling skills, which showcased the rich historical legacy of Shenyang. The unique cultural creativity showcased during the event portrayed Shenyang as a romantic and diverse city. The featured play, "Heaven Dance of Phoenix," depicted a fashionable and joyous side of Shenyang, further adding to the city's charm.

Medina Hajdarevic, the Acting Consul General of the Australian Consulate-General in Shenyang, expressed her delightful surprise as she savored the delicious cuisine in Laobeishi, stating "I am pleased to have participated in today's activity, as it has provided me with a deeper understanding of the unique characteristics of Shenyang."

Odeniyi Ayodele Joseph, a Nigerian student from the School of Literature at Shenyang Normal University, expressed his strong interest in Shenyang's culture, saying, "I have often learned about Chinese culture through books, but today I had the opportunity to truly experience the culture coming alive."
