Yushan Village, located in Huai'an, Jiangsu, is recognized as the National Forest Village and Characteristic Idyllic Countryside in Jiangsu Province. It boasts the largest and most well-equipped commercial tea production and processing base in northern Jiangsu -- the Yushan Tea Plantation. In recent years, a series of tea industry support measures by the State Grid Corporation of China have not only revitalized the old tea plantation established in 1958 but also have brought a new lease of life to the tea farmers in Yushan Village.
Yushan Tea Plantation
In 2018, the State Grid Corporation of China collaborated with local governments and agricultural science institutions to jointly develop new products. They assisted the tea plantation in creating a fully automated tea production line, lifting the annual tea output value of the entire village from CNY 600,000 to CNY 2.8 million within a year. Simultaneously, they integrated the marketing of the "Yushan Tea" brand into e-commerce platforms, bridging online and offline sales channels, thereby increasing income.

Power Supply Guarantee
Around the resource advantages of the Yushan Tea Plantation, the State Grid Huai'an Power Supply Company implemented the "Rural Electrification Smart Tea Garden" project. To ensure more reliable power supply for the tea plantation and use cleaner energy, the company carried out capacity expansion and transformation of transformers in Yushan Village. They also installed photovoltaic panels for the tea plantation. The electrification of the tea industry is conducive to promoting new technologies such as electric seedling cultivation, electric irrigation, and electric fertilization. This comprehensive electrification in the tea garden aims to enhance tea quality and production capacity, enabling villagers to achieve prosperity through tea.
