Guizhou Zhenyuan Traditional Dragon Lantern Fair to be Held during the Spring Festival

From February 9th to 24th, Zhenyuan County in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, will host the traditional Dragon Lantern Fair. The event includes activities such as New Year's bell-ringing for blessings, Spring Festival gala, giving and receiving Spring Festival couplets, firework show, dragon and lion dance competition, among others. These activities aim not only to create a joyful and harmonious atmosphere for the Chinese New Year but also to enrich the lives of the local residents and promote the millennia-old cultural customs of the ancient city of Zhenyuan.

Zhenyuan has a long-standing tradition of organizing the Dragon Lantern Fair. Particularly noteworthy is the "Hard Fire Dragon" dragon dance performance with a history spanning over a thousand years. In Zhenyuan, the spectacular performance of the "Hard Fire Dragon" is an integral part of the Spring Festival, leaving the audience awe-struck with its exuberant and impactful presentation.
