Quzhou, Zhejiang: Conduct summer study tour activities to help popularize power consumption knowledge

"Classmates, this is how our power grid has developed step by step." On August 21, young volunteers from State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company meticulously explained the development history of the power grid to 32 students from Experimental Primary School in Kaihua County, Zhejiang.

According to the introduction, in order to deepen the public's understanding of power-related knowledge and popularize knowledge of safe and scientific electricity consumption, the Communist Youth League Committee of State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company and Experimental Primary School in Kaihua County, Zhejiang jointly launched the summer study tour activity of "Little Power Grid Experience Officer".

On that day, teachers and students of Experimental Primary School in Kaihua County, Zhejiang, with curiosity and expectation, walked into the digital business hall of the State Grid and embarked on a special exploration journey. In the digital business hall, the staff led the students to experience the simulated power handling process, use the self-service payment terminal, online State Grid, and online power handling. They introduced the work processes such as cross-provincial power handling and one-window acceptance for new energy vehicles to the students with vivid cases. The staff also explained power handling issues in life for the students through interactive Q&A. The youth league members introduced in detail to the students the process of the power grid transporting electrical energy from power stations to thousands of households, as well as the model of digital technology improving power supply efficiency and service quality.

In the staff's reading room, the youth from State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company also gave the students a lively and interesting small class on safe electricity use. On the spot, there were not only vivid short videos of the "Little Quzhou Power" small class series explaining electricity use knowledge such as how to use electrical appliances correctly and prevent electric shock, but also interactive games to further deepen the students' understanding of the importance of safe electricity use. In the power exhibition hall, the staff demonstrated the efforts and contributions made by State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company in serving local economic development and people's better lives. The students saw the hardworking figures of power supply employees and felt their love and sense of responsibility for work.

In this activity, the students gained an in-depth understanding of power characteristics and popular science knowledge, and also felt the determination and actions of power supply enterprises to take the initiative to fulfill their responsibilities and actively serve local economic development and people's better lives. In the next step, State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company will continue to strengthen exchanges and communication with all sectors of society, actively contribute to the popularization and promotion of electricity consumption knowledge.
