Recently, the youth volunteers from the State Grid Huai'an Power Supply Company visited Xin'an Primary School's Electric Love Classroom in Huai'an City, Jiangsu, to carry out the 'Wishes of Begonia: Brightening Little Desks—The First Class of the Semester: Safety on Children's Journey' volunteer service activity. The objective was to educate students on the safe use of electricity, thereby enhancing their awareness of electrical safety and self-protection capabilities, and providing them with a special 'back-to-school gift'.
A group photo was taken to mark the occasion.
The Electric Love Classroom at Xin’an Primary School, the first electrical science education classroom in Huai’an City, is equipped with 16 educational and interactive electrical devices. These are categorized into four sections: electric shock first aid, electrical experiments, electrical applications, and electrical lessons. The classroom regularly holds lectures and organizes a wide range of activities focused on electrical science and popular science education.
In class, the team members turned 'the first class of the semester' into an engaging journey using an 'immersive scene-based teaching experience' through various methods such as animated videos, scene presentations, rapid-fire Q&A sessions, and small games. This enabled students to fully engage with lessons on safe electricity use and self-rescue methods, greatly improving their awareness of electrical safety and their ability to avoid electrical hazards.

The lively and engaging explanations of electrical knowledge were well-received by the children. During the class, the team members presented common electrical challenges faced in everyday life, and the students were enthusiastic in raising their hands and contributing to the discussion, fully immersing themselves in the world of learning.

On the day of the activity, the volunteers also conducted a comprehensive inspection of the school's power equipment, including the distribution boxes, switches, outlets, and other power installations in the classrooms and canteen. They promptly discovered and eliminated five potential safety hazards, ensuring the school's safe and reliable power supply for the new semester.
