State Grid Hubei Information & Telecommunication Co.,Ltd.: Safeguarding the Asian Winter Games Across a Thousand Miles

Recently, the 9th Asian Winter Games were held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. Two experts from State Grid Hubei Electric Power Co., Ltd., Feng Hao and Jiao Hanlin, traveled across a thousand miles to ensure the cybersecurity of the power network for the event.

Upon arriving in Harbin, the two experts quickly got to work, collaborating closely with the Heilongjiang Electric Power cybersecurity team. They completed seven specialized tasks, including experience sharing on security assurance and database security assessments. Additionally, they established a defense system incorporating monitoring, analysis, and blocking mechanisms to ensure an immediate response and effective solution to potential cyberattacks.

During this security mission, Feng Hao integrated the concepts of "collaborative operations" and "joint prevention and control" into Heilongjiang Electric Power’s emergency response system, enhancing its efficiency. Jiao Hanlin shared Hubei Electric Power’s experience in strategic optimization of security equipment and closed-loop handling of attack alerts with cybersecurity professionals from State Grid Heilongjiang Electric Power. The coordinated efforts of the expert team played a crucial role in safeguarding the cybersecurity of the power network for the Asian Winter Games.

At the competition venues of the Asian Winter Games, State Grid Hubei Electric Power mobilized power supply companies from Xiangyang, Jingmen, Xiaogan, and other regions to provide solid power support for the successful hosting of the event.
