Recently, with the start of the school season across primary and secondary schools in Lanzhou, to ensure safe electricity use in schools, State Grid Lanzhou Electric Power Supply Company made early preparations and provided proactive services. The company quickly mobilized staff to conduct electricity safety checks in schools across the city. On February 24, company employees visited Jiuquan Road Primary School in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, to conduct safety electricity knowledge dissemination activities. In response to the unique electricity usage characteristics and special electrical environment of schools, the power company staff conducted a comprehensive "check-up" of the school's distribution equipment, power supply lines, and other relevant infrastructure. The staff carefully inspected key facilities such as transformers, overhead lines, switch cabinets, and distribution rooms, with a particular focus on identifying issues like line aging. Any faults found were immediately rectified. They also checked and adjusted switches, sockets, lighting, and other electrical equipment in places such as classrooms and cafeterias, and promptly addressed issues such as loose connections and poor contact, to ensure that the equipment posed "zero risks".
In addition, the power company staff inquired about and recorded the school's electricity needs and solicited feedback and suggestions regarding electricity usage to continuously improve the safety of electricity use on campus and maintain a good electricity order. In addition to promoting electricity safety knowledge, the staff also encouraged teachers and students to conserve electricity and use it safely, ensuring that power supply services and safety were consistently upheld to safeguard the well-being of all on campus.
