"This new transformer gives a strong sense of security at first glance. It has been operating very stably these days without any problems. I don't have to worry about power outages during the tea frying process anymore. Thank you so much!" On March 18, Mr. Yu, a tea farmer from Shengli Village, Baihe Town, Tiantai County, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, expressed his deep gratitude to the employees of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power who came for a follow-up visit.
In the beautiful spring of March, the fragrance of spring tea fills the air, and tea farmers are kept busy. During the spring tea-picking season every year, tea farmers work overtime to fry tea leaves. Tea frying has high requirements for power supply. Once there are situations such as unstable voltage or power outages, it will directly affect the quality and output of tea. To ensure a stable and reliable power supply during the spring tea production period and escort the spring tea production, the employees of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power conducted investigations on the electricity consumption needs of various tea-producing areas. Through previous on-site visits, it was found that Transformer No. 1 in Shengli Village had been in operation for too long and had a relatively small capacity, which was insufficient to support the tea farmers' tea frying. When tea farmers used electricity intensively, they would face the problem of unstable voltage. To relieve the tight electricity supply situation for tea farmers during tea frying, the company decided to increase the capacity of the No. 1 public transformer in Shengli Village. The new transformer was successfully installed and put into use on March 2.

"The capacity of Transformer No. 1 in Shengli Village has been increased to 400KVA. The voltage is more stable and the power supply is more reliable. Tea farmers don't have to worry about the situation where unstable voltage affects production during tea frying," an employee of the company patiently explained to the villagers.
"This capacity increase is one of the important measures to assist tea farmers. Through the capacity increase, the stable operation of the transformer has been improved, and tea farmers can prepare for tea frying with peace of mind," the company employee continued. "Of course, getting positive feedback from users also gives us great motivation."
Next, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power will continuously pay attention to the operation of the power grid within its jurisdiction, actively organize employees to visit the tea gardens to conduct comprehensive inspections of the power supply lines, transformers and tea frying equipment and strengthen load monitoring to eliminate potential electricity hazards in a timely manner to continuously improve the reliability of power supply and service level and provide strong power support for local tea farmers' tea frying.(By Jiang Jirui)
