On April 18, the 8th National Forum on Ethics and Academic Integrity in Philosophy and Social Sciences took place in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia.
The forum includes an opening ceremony, keynote speeches, parallel roundtable discussions, and a forum summary session. During the keynote speech segment, six renowned scholars, including Qian Zhi, Deputy Inspector of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government Development Research Center, gave academic presentations and shared their research findings and practical experiences in promoting the spirit of scientists and strengthening the construction of ethics and academic integrity in philosophy and social sciences.
The forum featured two roundtable sessions, chaired respectively by Wu Enqi, Secretary and Chairman of the Inner Mongolia Federation of Social Sciences, and Yuan Beixing, Party Leadership Group Member, Vice President and Research Fellow of Hubei Provincial Academy of Social Sciences. Six experts from the Chongqing Academy of Social Sciences, Gansu Academy of Social Sciences, Jilin Academy of Social Sciences, Jiangxi Academy of Social Sciences, Shandong Academy of Social Sciences, and Jiangsu Federation of Philosophical and Social Sciences delivered speeches on the theme of "Strengthening Academic Ethos and Improving Research Integrity Governance" and "The 'Governance' and 'Application' of Artificial Intelligence in Empowering Scientific Research." Additionally, 60 scholars gave short presentations on the forum's themes in relation to their respective research directions.
The forum brought together over 90 expert representatives from more than 30 provincial-level social science institutes, social science federations, universities, scientific research institutions, and academic journals across China.
