Xuchang, Henan Implements Multiple Measures to Ensure Reliable Power Supply for the National College Entrance Exam

As the National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao) approaches, power supply assurance work has officially begun. To provide a favorable examination environment for all candidates, State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company recently organized staff to conduct comprehensive inspections of power lines and supply equipment associated with all examination venues in Xuchang, in an effort to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power grid during the exam period.

During the inspections, staff meticulously examined distribution lines, transformers, and other equipment in key power supply areas based on past experience. For substations serving power supply lines, State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company arranged for operation and maintenance personnel to inspect and take temperature readings of main transformers, load switches, equipment clamps, and other heat-sensitive components. Meanwhile, staff actively coordinated with school officials to inspect and test power supply systems and emergency backup power sources at examination venues, thereby ensuring reliable power supply facilities for all sites.

Currently, in line with pre-established power assurance plans for the National College Entrance Exam, State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company has formed comprehensive working groups to investigate power conditions at each venue, forecast load changes, and arrange appropriate grid operation modes. Emergency repair teams and reserve personnel are in place with 24-hour duty shifts. Multiple emergency power vehicles and repair vehicles are on standby to handle any contingencies and ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout the exam.
