China Three Gorges Corporation develops and manages hydropower, wind power, and solar energy projects in Brazil. Focusing on areas such as technical exchange and entrepreneurship, CTG fosters a communication platform for Chinese and Brazilian youths. Chinese and Brazilian engineers are jointly carrying out the largest hydropower station technical upgrading project in Brazil's history. At the same time, CTG provides incubation support for young entrepreneurs and small business owners in Brazil, while proactively promoting public welfare initiatives such as youth music education, street soccer, fishery restocking and conservation, and golden mussel mitigation. CTG has remained carbon neutral in Brazil for five consecutive years.

Otavio Gomes, former Mayor of Ilha Solteira, highlighted that the city hosts the Ilha Hydropower Station and said he has witnessed China’s rapid progress toward prosperity. He expressed appreciation for CTG's contributions to Brazil's clean energy sector and expressed hope for deeper cooperation between China and Brazil.
