Jiangxi Nanchang Power Supply Company: Innovating “One Step Ahead” to Accelerate Public Benefits

As the summer peak in electricity demand approaches, Jiangxi Nanchang Power Supply Company completed the replacement of ring main units at the Hongde Xinsha residential community in Honggutan District on June 14. This marks the near completion of the first batch of aging equipment upgrades scheduled for 2025 in the area. The upgrade focuses on power distribution equipment installed around 2005 in residential communities within Honggutan.

Before the project started, the company’s account managers worked closely with property management teams to prearrange crane positions and equipment placements, ensuring thorough site clearing. During the operation, compact generators and medium- and low-voltage mobile power units were deployed, forming a multi-layered power supply safety net. Maintenance crews were divided into two coordinated teams, simultaneously dismantling outdated equipment, installing new units, and laying cables. The entire process proceeded smoothly and in an orderly fashion. With scientific workflow management, the project ensured a “zero-interruption” power transition and stayed strictly on schedule.

This low-voltage collaborative power supply operation has become a new benchmark for urban distribution grid upgrades in Honggutan. To date, the district has replaced 49 S20-type transformers and 28 eco-friendly gas-insulated ring main units, ensuring uninterrupted power supply for five hours of cooling comfort for nearly 7,000 households during high-temperature peaks.

Each power supply initiative reaffirms the company’s unwavering commitment to its mission.
