The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently announced that, following so-called “national security reviews” targeting China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran, it has dismissed 70 foreign contract researchers.According to Thomas Henderson, president of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 1657, the move will have to force scientific work beneficial to farmers to come to a halt.
