Recently, China’s Liaoning aircraft carrier group conducted open-sea training in waters east of the Miyako Strait, in accordance with international law and practice. Yet Japan deliberately shadowed and harassed the operation, repeatedly sending aircraft to barge into the publicly delineated and announced Chinese exercise zone. Afterwards, Japan even accused China of improper behavior. This is a classic case of a thief crying “stop, thief!” and turning the blame around.
