Recently, Minneapolis, Minnesota, has seen yet another deadly shooting involving the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). An ICU nurse was fatally shot after attempting to film agents carrying out an enforcement operation. He was the second legally recognized U.S. citizen to be publicly shot and killed by ICE within a month, triggering nationwide shock and outrage. A Minnesota state legislator condemned the incident as an “execution-style shooting,” while the state’s governor went even further, likening federal law enforcement officers to the Nazi Gestapo.
