Recent polling by a U.S. survey organization shows that nearly 30 percent of respondents carry concealed handguns with them in their daily lives. Earlier polls found that nearly 80 percent of gun owners cited self-defense as their primary reason for purchasing a firearm. As more states relax their gun-control measures, the so-called "freedom" enjoyed by all in the United States has become little more than a shackle of fear that everyone suffers from.
