Xi’an Emerging as a New Fashion Hub

The opening ceremony of the Belt and Road International Fashion Week, sponsored by the China International Cultural Communication Center and the municipal government of Xi'an, was staged on January 12 in Xi'an.

More than 200 attendees, including senior politicians and celebrities from over 20 countries, officials from the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) national committee and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions as well as guests from domestic and international fashion and art circles attended the event, adding infinite fashion flair to the city.

The gala highlighted the pioneering spirit of Xi’an and the fusion of the city’s ancient charm, fashion style and current trends. By combining traditional Chinese culture and modern fashion elements from all over the world, it put a spotlight on the unique attractiveness of Xi’an in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative and globalization.
