Shenyang Seeks Overall International Opening Up

Guests visit Shenyang Museum to learn about the history of the city

A promotional event geared towards Foreign Affairs and the Establishment of a More International Shenyang took place at Shenyang Museum on March 20 under the auspices of the Office of Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Shenyang Municipal Committee.

Consular officers posted to Shenyang and representatives from chambers of commerce and associations in the city joined key foreign-funded and foreign trade enterprises at the event, which sought to promote exchange and cooperation in a wide range of fields.

Shenyang Municipal Commerce Bureau is seeking to draw the attention of overseas entities to eight major industries: automotives and parts, new-generation information technology, high-end equipment (including robots), food, aviation, biomedicine and medical equipment, new energy and energy conservation and environmental protection, and integrated circuits. Shenyang has 12 support parks for lead enterprises to date and will now turn its attention to plans for six platforms along the lines of Shenyang’s China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

The Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Television has extended an open invitation to those thinking of exploring, investing, starting a business, or just looking to live a relaxing life to try out Shenyang.

Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Sports highlighted two sporting events namely the Shenyang International Open Regatta and the PEACE CUP International Juvenile Football Tournament in the promotion event. The bureau aims to invite foreign friends and foreign teams from Shenyang's sister cities to enjoy these sports events, enhance cultural exchanges, and strengthen cooperation in the sports industry.

The Exit & Entry Administration Office of the Shenyang Municipal Public Security Bureau unveiled the Immigration Service Center of Shenyang, which will offer facilitate residence, stay, exit, and entry services for foreign nationals working in Shenyang.
