Changsha Manufacturing Development Promotion Center Inaugurated and Put into Operation

The Changsha Manufacturing Development Promotion Center was recently inaugurated and commenced operations on March 29 at Jinxin Building, Xiangjiang New Area, Hunan Province. The center is established through the merger of Changsha Electronics Research Institute, Changsha Research Institute of Chemical Technology, Changsha Light Industry Research Institute, and Changsha Building Materials Research and Design Institute, all of which are affiliated to Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology. The center seeks to support the manufacturing industry transformation in Changsha by transitioning from traditional manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing and to enhance Changsha's reputation as a city renowned for its manufacturing strength.

Following the establishment of the aforementioned four scientific research institutes, they have completed a series of scientific research projects, including making breakthroughs in core technology research and implementing unified testing standards. They have also developed a group of products that are essential to Changsha's industrial development and addressed issues faced by industrial enterprises in Changsha such as high pollution and illegal emissions. These scientific research institutes have completed more than 300 scientific research projects and technical transformation projects, and have obtained about 100 national, provincial, and municipal awards for scientific and technological achievements over the years.

In 2022, Changsha started to establish Changsha Manufacturing Development Promotion Center to leverage the scientific research advantages accumulated by the previous scientific research institutes and promote the development of high-quality manufacturing industry in the city with greater intellectual technologies and more professional technical services. Following its establishment and operation, the center will be responsible for formulating development strategies, major plans, and industrial development policies in the manufacturing field of Changsha. It will also focus on implementing, supervising, and managing the above-mentioned policies and plans, promoting industrial chain development, and establishing and nurturing industrial clusters.
