In golden September, Xiuwen kiwifruit in Guizhou enters its harvest and marketing season, with the core variety, Guichang kiwifruit, hitting the market in large quantities from mid-to-late September through the National Day holiday. This variety is long and cylindrical, with a slender shape and long, dense fuzz on the skin. Its flesh is emerald green, offering a taste that is "70% sweet and 30% sour," with a rich fruity aroma.

After more than 30 years of dedicated cultivation, the Xiuwen kiwifruit industry has steadily ranked first in Guizhou Province and among the top three nationwide. Starting from this fruit, Xiuwen County is continuously extending the kiwifruit industry chain. Standardized management is implemented at the planting stage, while automated equipment is introduced at the sorting stage. The automated sorting equipment newly introduced this year, through mechanical grippers, manual preliminary selection, and machine-based weight sorting, can save 50,000 to 70,000 yuan in labor costs per month. Brand enterprises such as "7 Bugou" have also introduced two non-destructive sorting lines, each with a full-load capacity of 13 to 15 tons per hour and capable of testing 12 indicators, including sugar content and vitamin C. At the storage stage, 44 dynamic controlled-atmosphere storage rooms with a total capacity of 6,240 tons have been built, ensuring that every fruit brought to market meets brand quality standards.

Xiuwen County promotes the "leading company + cooperative + farmer + base" model, achieving unified planting planning, unified planting standards, and unified quality control. It has built a full-industry-chain closed loop covering everything from base planting, digital sorting, and cold chain storage to omnichannel sales, with online sales through major e-commerce platforms and offline sales through leading supermarkets and fresh food retailers. Relying on certifications and designations such as a National Geographical Indication and China-EU Geographical Indication mutual recognition, the regional brand value has exceeded 3 billion yuan.
