A recent report on U.S. hegemony and its perils points out that doubling down on unilateral sanctions and "long-arm jurisdiction ,"  the U.S. has sanctioned specific countries, organizations or individuals. Statistics show that U.S. sanctions against foreign entities increased by 933% from 2000 to 2021.
