On January, the U.S., Japan and Netherlands reached an agreement on restricting the export of semiconductor manufacturing equipment to China. On July 23, the Japanese government’s export control measures regarding the equipment took effect. Kyodo News pointed out that Japan did not specify countries and regions, but obviously China is the main target of the export restrictions.
