On the afternoon of April 1, the launch ceremony of the 9th Asian Children's Art Exhibition (China and ASEAN Session) was held in Shenyang, China.
This year's art exhibition is jointly supported by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), and co-hosted by the Liaoning Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (LPPAFFC), Enlai Foundation and Malaysia-China Friendship Association Sabah (MCFAS).
Luo Li, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Liaoning Provincial People's Government and President of LPPAFFC, said that since its establishment in 2015, the Asian Children's Art Exhibition has received positive responses and enthusiastic participation from nearly 10,000 Asian children. It has evolved into a vibrant symbol of enduring friendship and cooperation between Liaoning Province and Asian countries. This year marks the "ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges" and the 50th anniversary of China-Malaysia diplomatic relations. Luo hopes that children from different countries can get to know each other, understand each other, become friends, and enhance their understanding of each other's cultures.
Oh Ei Sun, President of MCFAS, expressed his anticipation that this year's exhibition would build a valuable platform for fostering understanding and affinity among children from China and ASEAN countries. He hopes it will strengthen friendship between peoples of China and ASEAN countries, promote mutual understanding and respect for each other's cultures, and contribute to people-to-people ties.
