Deepening China-Algeria Educational Cooperation: Algerian University Delegation Visits Northwest Normal University

On April 27, a delegation led by the presidents of University of Algiers 2 Abou El Kacem Saâdallah (Algiers 2 University), Université Frères Mentouri - Constantine 1, and Bordj Bou Arréridj University from Algeria visited Northwest Normal University and held a symposium. Jia Ning, Secretary of the Party Committee of Northwest Normal University, and Ma Shinian, Vice President of Northwest Normal University, attended the symposium. Heads of relevant colleges and departments from both institutions engaged in in-depth discussions on the collaborative development of international Chinese language education and disciplines, among other key topics.

At the symposium, Jia Ning, on behalf of Northwest Normal University, awarded certificates of honorary professorship to the three university presidents in recognition of their significant contributions to promoting cross-cultural education and international academic collaboration. These certificates symbolize not only mutual academic trust but also lay institutional foundations for future collaborative initiatives, such as joint research projects and scholar exchanges.

Following the event, the delegation visited the Northwest Normal University History Museum and campus museum, immersing themselves in the university's rich historical and cultural heritage. During their visits to various colleges, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on discipline development and scientific research collaboration. This exchange activity has opened a new chapter in practical cooperation between Chinese and Algerian universities in education and laid a solid foundation for broader exchanges in the future.
