On August 28, the 7th China-Arab States Expo opened in Yinchuan, attracting over 7,000 guests from 75 countries and regions, alongside representatives of more than 2,000 chambers of commerce and enterprises. State Grid Ningxia Electric Power Research Institute (SGNEPRI) once again took the stage at the “Clean Energy” exhibition area, presenting its latest achievements in renewable energy integration, grid-connection technologies, grid-forming energy storage applications, the “Dual Carbon” digital-intelligent monitoring center, and core equipment development. These innovations lay a solid foundation for deepening China-Arab green cooperation and advancing the Belt and Road Initiative.

In recent years, under the Belt and Road framework, China-Arab collaboration in renewable energy has made remarkable progress. SGNEPRI has actively participated in Oman’s power grid projects, combining State Grid’s technology and Ningxia’s expertise with local needs. It has proposed enhancements in areas such as fast-switch fault current limiting and grid simulation, leading to several practical cooperation outcomes.

One highlight of the expo was the “10kV Wide-Frequency Oscillation Prediction, Monitoring, and Suppression Device” developed by SGNEPRI. Designed to address the oscillation risks arising from high proportions of wind and solar integration, the device provides full-cycle functions of prediction, monitoring, and suppression—greatly enhancing grid stability.

The expo has provided SGNEPRI with a vital platform to expand international cooperation and promote Chinese clean energy technologies. Looking ahead, the institute will continue advancing new-type power system construction, contributing Chinese wisdom and strength to the Belt and Road’s high-quality development.
