Recently, State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company carried out special inspections of transmission lines and substations, proactively identifying and addressing potential safety hazards. By shifting from passive emergency response to proactive prevention, the company has built a solid safety barrier for the regional power grid during the autumn flood season.

In recent days, Xuchang City, Henan Province, has experienced continuous heavy rainfall, bringing flood control and power supply protection to a critical stage. To ensure safe and stable grid operation and reliable electricity supply, the company has conducted thorough inspections of power facilities in low-lying areas, along rivers and reservoirs, and in landslide-prone zones. With the help of drone patrols and infrared thermography, technicians precisely monitored equipment conditions, quickly rectified equipment defects, and eliminated hidden risks. They have also tested the sealing performance of distribution transformers, feeder terminal cabinets, and customer meter boxes to prevent rainwater intrusion and short circuits, ensuring that all equipment remains in sound operating condition.

At substations, maintenance personnel checked drainage pumps, sandbags, shovels, and other emergency supplies, while reviewing moisture-proofing, leak prevention, and sealing measures for control cabinets and terminal boxes. They also inspected and cleared drainage systems to ensure smooth water discharge during heavy rains.

Currently, the grid is operating smoothly.
