Since the onset of autumn, the Greater Khingan Range forest area in Inner Mongolia has been transformed into a spectacular canvas of colors, marking the most splendid season of the year. Golden larches, crimson maples, and evergreen Mongolian pines form a vibrant, multi-layered tapestry, attracting tourists from across the country to enjoy the autumn scenery. The local tourism market is experiencing its busiest period in nearly a decade.

Moerdaoga National Forest Park in Erguna City has become a popular destination for autumn tourism this year. Although the autumn colors arrived slightly later this year, the foliage is exceptionally vivid and the landscape displays clear layers. Tourists have hailed it as a "fairy-tale world." On the wooden boardwalks in the forest, visitors come in an endless stream—some stop to take photos, while others quietly listen to the birds chirping, immersing themselves in the scent of pine and the fresh air.

As a featured attraction, the "forest sightseeing mini-train" has been fully booked throughout the autumn peak season. According to Liu Yang, a guide from Bailu Island Primeval Forest Tourism Company, the mini-train now departs every 15 minutes and is attended by over 6,000 visitors daily. The number of self-driving tourists has also increased significantly, and the scenic area has added temporary parking lots to alleviate parking congestion.

The outstanding performance of the Greater Khingan Range's autumn tourism market this year is attributed not only to the favorable climate and stunning autumn scenery but also to ongoing improvements in tourism services and diversified offerings. Moerdaoga recently successfully held the 2nd Forest Fairy-Tale Festival and introduced a series of preferential policies, which have effectively attracted more visitors.
