Recently, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power completed a "zero-outage" upgrade of the second 220 kV bus differential protection device at the 500 kV Tianzhu Substation, marking a breakthrough in live-line operation technology. As a key hub of the power grid in eastern Wenzhou, the substation plays a crucial role in supplying power to Longwan District. The upgrade will significantly enhance the reliability of the regional grid, providing a solid energy foundation for Wenzhou's effort to build itself into a "National Hub for New Energy Production Capacity."

Since the beginning of this year, Wenzhou has accelerated power grid construction across the board, with a number of major projects concentrated in the city's eastern area. The upgrade of the 500 kV Tianzhu Substation, the construction of multiple 110 kV substations in the second phase of Longwan, the commissioning of the 220 kV power grid reinforcement project in the central and eastern regions, and the upcoming commissioning of the digital "transparent substation"—the 500 kV Rui'an Substation—together form a robust grid framework to support the growth of the new energy industry.
