With the Spring Festival approaching, vermicelli production has entered its peak season for both manufacturing and sales. To ensure reliable and satisfactory power supply for vermicelli processing enterprises, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company deployed its service staff to visit vermicelli producers and workshops on February 10. Through on‑site inspections and assessments, the Company worked to ensure uninterrupted power for the traditional industry.
Fenchen Town, located in Xiangcheng County, Xuchang City, Henan Province, has a long history of vermicelli processing. It is now home to more than 120 producers, with an annual output value exceeding 200 million yuan. Vermicelli production involves multiple steps: cleaning, grinding, shaping, and drying. During the peak winter season, equipment such as dryers operates at full capacity, making stable power supply critical to both product quality and output.
The State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company organized power grid service staff to conduct visits and inspections. Their work focused on testing insulation integrity, grounding protection, and load compatibility for key equipment including dryers and mixers. On site, they rectified 12 potential hazards, including aging switches and loose wiring. In addition, the Company developed tailored power consumption records for each facility based on its production cycles. It also formulated two contingency plans, one for peak load shifting and another for emergency repairs, and activated a 24‑hour service hotline. Meanwhile, the Company upgraded three transformers by increasing their capacity and improved the distribution network structure in the area to ensure sufficient power supply during peak hours.
Since the launch of the power assurance initiative in November 2025, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company has provided over 80 visits to vermicelli enterprises in Fenchen Town and resolved 23 power‑related issues. Through reliable and high‑quality electricity, it continues to support the robust growth of Fenchen’s vermicelli processing industry.
