When East Meets West: The Xi'an Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone Silicon Valley Oversea Innovation Center Represents a New Vision for Innovation

The Xi’an Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone Silicon Valley Oversea Innovation Center was officially unveiled on July 10th. Yet another groundbreaking initiative undertaken by the Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone to explore international scientific and technological cooperation, the center is committed to building a world-class high-tech incubator and a platform for open innovation.

The Xi'an Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone Silicon Valley Oversea Innovation Center is tasked with building six major cooperation platforms that will strengthen and broaden the partnership between the Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone and Silicon Valley. The sharing of resources is enabled across the two tech hubs in such areas as talent development and exchange, technology R&D and cooperation, integration of capital and services, business expansion in international markets, overseas innovation incubation and commercialization of innovation through establishing service support centers for expanding international business, overseas pre-incubation and accelerator bases for high-tech projects, transfer and commercialization platforms for scientific and technological achievements at home and abroad, outposts for the development and acquisition of high-caliber innovative and entrepreneurial talents and hubs for international capital investment cooperation.

Zhong Hongjiang, member of the Standing Committee of Xi'an Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base, pointed out that Silicon Valley, home to the world's densest concentration of innovative tech companies, has been known as the global epicenter for innovation and boasts tremendous advantages in a host of areas such as global resources, industries, talents and technologies. He further stated that the establishment of the Xi'an Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone Silicon Valley Oversea Innovation Center, in particular, was a pioneering initiative that testified to the will and ambition of the Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone to embrace technological innovation as the driver for its future success and to establish itself as a global innovation leader on the international stage.
