China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Festival, also called Iron Horses, was held in Wuhan, Hubei province after Wuhan Marathon, the 16th China·Wuhan International Horse Racing Festival, Wuhan Marathon Swimming and World Fly-in Expo.

Engines roared to life, and cars were racing. During the National Day Holidays in 2018, top racers who came from all over the country gathered in Wuhan, and the local people enjoyed a real-life the Fast and Furious in their doorway.

The first China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Festival was mainly divided into three parts: competitions, performances and cultural activities. The competitions had eight games, including FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR), China Touring Car Championship (CTCC), FIA F4, China Truck racing Championship (CTR), China GT Championship, China Endurance Championship (CEC), China Drift Championship(CDC) and China Cross Country Championship (COC).

In addition, Iron Horses also included such cultural activities as China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Forum, Classic Car Show and Food Festival. The officials of Hubei Sports Bureau said, Wuhan has dreaming to launch automobile sports for more than a decade. In 2001, Wuhan and Shanghai bid for the 1st F1 Competition in China, but eventually Shanghai won the bid. However, Wuhan now realized its dream and launched such a mega automobile and motorcycle sports games, promoting the development of automobile and motorcycle sports in the country. As for the next step, the development of automobile, water, winter and air sports will be focused on by Hubei provincial government.
