2018 China Mountaineering Festival (Mulan Mt., Wuhan) and The 10th Mulan Mt. Mountaineering Festival Kicked Off

2018 China Mountaineering Festival (Mulan Mt., Wuhan) and the 10th Mulan Mt. Mountaineering Festival officially launched in Huangpi, Wuhan in the morning of October 27^th. The opening ceremony was held by Xiong Dingping, member of Huangpi district standing committee and minister of publicity department. Zeng Sheng, district mayor of Huangpi, delivered a speech of welcome. Xu Chuan, vice chairman of the China Mountaineering Association (CMA), conferred flag to members of the China Mountaineering Festival and Wu Zuyun, secretary of Huangpi district committee, officially proclaimed open of the 10^th Mulan Mt. Mountaineering Festival. The festival gathered great numbers of officials and leaders from CMA, the Mountaineering Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, Wuhan Tourism Development Committee, Wuhan Federation of Trade Unions, Wuhan Sports Bureau, Huangpi district committee, Huangpi district government and regional people’s congress and political consultative conference. As the starting gun rang out, the 10^th Mulan Mt. Mountaineering Festival kicked off. 

In light of the path of the CISM Military World Games--to thoroughly implement the vision of the 19^th National Congress and to realize dream of being sports country, the festival called for all members to participate in and contribute to the Military World Games. In addition, five naval sports competitions of the 7^th CISM Military World Games will be held in Huangpi, Wuhan in October, 2019.

Over a decade, the mountaineering festival, a sport gala proud by the local people and an international remarkable activity, has attracted millions people to get knowledge about Mulan Mt. ecological and cultural tourism zone. They have traveled, enjoyed and learned sound environment and historical culture of Huangpi district. Meanwhile, with the aim of being a powerful and healthy sports district, Huangpi held the Mulan Mt. Mountaineering Festival in ten consecutive years. The district has implemented the strategy of national sports and provided better equipment and products to meet people’s increasing demands for sports.
