On April 28, 2019 WFRS Regional Convention & the 9th China Rose Exhibition kicked off in Nanyang City, Henan Province, China. Tourists from 18 countries including the US, the UK, France, etc. participated in the event. The blooming roses in Nanyang and the 18 themed parks in the city have attracted visitors around the world.

It is known that 2019 WFRS Regional Convention & the 9th China Rose Exhibition is the international flower exhibition of the highest level and standard ever held in Nanyang. Tourists can enjoy themed activities featured on flower, jade, and Chinese herb during the convention. Through this convention, Nanyang will further open to the world, deepen international cooperation, spread the brand of rose to overseas market, and establish the city into the ‘world-famous city of rose’.

Martin Bischoff, the Australian representative said, “I can see roses everywhere in this city, which is very beautiful. The themed pavilions of various architectural styles are very characteristic as well. I think Nanyang is a beautiful city.”

It is known that Nanyang is the ‘hometown of Chinese rose’. Nanyang now has about 100 thousand people engaged in rose industry related work. The cultivated area of roses is of 6000 hectares, with the annual output value hitting about 2 billion. Nanyang roses are not only in great demand in China, but also sold abroad. Recently, Nanyang has been promoting economic and trade cooperation by expanding rose market, and the contracts of 88 projects with a total value of 29.7 billion RMB have been signed during the convention.
