The 25th Sanmenxia Yellow River Cultural Tourism Festival kicked off in Sanmenxia City, Henan Province

On May 10, the 25th Sanmenxia Yellow River Cultural Tourism Festival & the 7th China Characteristic Commodity Expo Fair kicked off in Sanmenxia City, Henan Province, China.

The event this year has consisted of various cultural and commercial activities, such as New Energy Vehicle Industry Forum, 2019 Swim Across the Yellow River, International Light and Shadow Art Festival. These activities will contribute to the construction of Sanmenxia into an important node city along the Belt and Road, and a tourist destination city along the Yellow River.

China Characteristic Commodity Expo Fair this year has attracted over 500 traveling merchants from 23 Chinese provinces and 27 countries such as Russia, France, and UK. Nearly 5000 products have been on display during the commodity expo.

Sanmenxia is located in the western part of Henan. It not only has a long history and high gold production value, but also is a well-known habitat and viewing area of white swans. Based on its abundant culture and tourism recourses, in recent years, Sanmenxia has been actively developing its tourism industry and enhancing cooperation with cities along the Belt and Road, which has effectively promoted the prosperity of culture and tourism industry in the area.
