2019 China Today Arts Week has kicked off in Latin America

Relationship between China and Latin America has continued to develop rapidly in recent years. In a bid to fully implement the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthen cultural exchanges, and build a people-to-people exchange platform, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles launched a series of activities in Cuba, Mexico and Panama within the framework of China Today Arts Week. The arts week activities have gained support from National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba, Cuban film industry committee, General Society of Writers of Mexico, National Museum of Cultures in Mexico as well as Panama’s Ministry of Culture. Li Yi, Vice President of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles led the delegation taking part in the event.

The arts week was respectively held in Cuba, Mexico and Panama. The main activities include a Chinese films' screening event in Havana, Cuba, "Art and Peace" – China Contemporary Art Exhibition, which opened in Mexico, China-Panama Forum for Cultural Exchange, an exhibition of films showing Chinese urban landscapes and Print Art of Chinese Contemporary Masters Exhibition.
