Foreign journalists concerning on the Schoenfeld International String Competition of Harbin 2020

Recently, foreign media journalists that participated in "Perceive China's Ice City"- Foreign Journalists Tour of Harbin 2020 were invited to the press conference of the Schoenfeld International String Competition of Harbin 2020.

The Schoenfeld International String Competition of Harbin 2020 will be held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China, from July 15th to 29th, 2020. Starting from 2020, Harbin has become the permanent host place of the competition. The event registration started from January 6th, and young string artists and chamber music groups around the world are all welcomed to participate. Like previous events, the competition this year is also divided into three categories, violin, cello, and chamber music. In order to increase the professional test on the competitors, a new competition system, four rounds of on-the-spot competition, will be introduced to people. After the preliminary, 35 violinists and 35 cellists (at most) will participate in the on-the-spot competition in Harbin.

The Schoenfeld International String Competition is named after Alice Schoenfeld, an American violinist and educator who has a profound influence in the world. The settlement of the competition in Harbin will promote the music culture communication in Harbin, and further showcase the charm of Harbin as China’s ‘city of music’ to the world.
