The list of "Happiest Cities in China" was unveiled at the "2020 Happy City of China Forum" held in Hangzhou on November 18th. Yingkou, Liaoning is on the list.

Besides, the city has been laurelled as a National Logistics hub under the category of seaport and a national backbone cold-chain logistics base.

Research is done every year to analyze the livability index. Yingkou gave an outstanding performance in "Accessibility Index of Life Circle within a Meter" and "City Delicacy Governance Index".
It has been approved as China’s Outstanding Tourism City and National Forest City in recent years. In addition, it has become a significant tourist destination in Northeast China. Yingkou's government accelerates city governance under the thinking mode of life-circle management, improves infrastructure and changes its governance mode to create a more convenient smart city led by the construction of a new smart city.
Yingkou speeds up its growth as China revitalizes the northeast area, develops and opens Liaoning Coastal Economic Belt, and creates China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone. "Nighttime Economy", "Online Celebrity Economy", "Hub Economy" and growing new forms of consumption provide the city with more energy and wider space of practice for optimizing its business environment.
