The Diving Event of the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games and the World Cup Trail Competition Will Start in Wuhan

On the afternoon of January 19th, the press conference of the diving event of the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games and the World Cup trails was held in the Wuhan Sports Center. The official competition will start from January 21st to January 24th in the Natatorium of the Wuhan Sports Center.

As the trail competition for both Olympic Games and World Cup, the competition attracts more than 50 athletes including the national team members. Olympic champions and world champions such as Shi Tingmao, Wang Han, Chen Yiwen, Chang Yani, Lin Shan, Xie Siyi, Cao Yuan, Chen Aisen, and Yang Jian arrived in Wuhan and started to warm up. Four members of the Hubei Diving Team will enter this competition as well.

The competition sets 8 Olympic Game Diving Events with Gold Medal: 3M Springboard Men, Synchronized Diving 3M Springboard Men, 10M Platform Men, Synchronized Diving 10M Platform Men, 3M Springboard Women, Synchronized Diving 3M Springboard Women, 10M Platform Women, and Synchronized Diving 10M Platform Women.

This competition is the first national leveled sports event held in Wuhan under the regular pandemic prevention and control. The organizing committee will treat the pandemic as a matter of primary importance, and make sure the preventing measures are practical in every step of the competition. This competition will become a new model to study under the regular pandemic prevention and control. It will also make Wuhan people believe they can overcome the pandemic soon.
