
After 14 months of construction, the main body of Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection in Yellow River Basin Exhibition Center was completed on the morning of June 28.

Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection in Yellow River Basin Exhibition Center was located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Longmen Avenue and Gucheng Expressway in Luolong District, Luoyang. This exhibition center is a provincial and municipal key project with a total investment of 1.8 billion RMB, an area of 6.2 hectares and a room building area of 180,000 square meters, including intangible heritage exhibition hall, intangible heritage exhibition library, intangible heritage academic exchange center, and intangible heritage ancient street, etc.. Luoyang is going to build a large exhibition center of intangible cultural heritage protection in terms of collection, exhibition, live display, education and research, interactive experience, public service and creative industries. It is expected that the intangible exhibition hall will open before the Peony Culture Festival in 2022.

The exhibition center will demonstrate the value of Yellow River culture and how Chinese people protect intangible cultural heritage in Yellow River basin. Being the protection center of intangible heritage in Yellow River basin, national demonstration center of Heluo(the south bank from Tongguan to Zhengzhou) cultural and ecological protection pilot zone, it will protect, promote and popularize intangible cultural heritage and other excellent traditional Chinese culture, serving as a key project which makes Luoyang a symbol of the history and culture of Yellow River.
