Me and My Chinese Stories: Dr. Evans and His World of Popular Science

David G. Evans, who hails from Britain, has been living in China for 25 years. He is the Distinguished Professor of Beijing University of Chemical Technology and Chair of the Beijing Local Section of the Royal Society of Chemistry. During his stay in China, David has been keen on science popularization and his work has achieved fruitful results. He has not only devoted himself to the promotion of scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges between Britain and China, but also actively engaged in the popularization of science in chemistry. For his great contributions in scientific research, science popularization and education, David has received many honors, including the Friendship Award given by the Chinese government to outstanding foreign experts, the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of the People's Republic of China, the 2016 Influencer of China's Petroleum and Chemical Industry award and he was named Special Contributor for Popular Science. In 2021, David was also awarded the title of 2020 Beijing Role Model.
