On December 20, the themed media activity to highlight modern industries and high quality development of Inner Mongolia was officially launched in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Zheng Hongfan, Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee, and Zang Julin, Chairman of CRI Online of China Media Group, held talks before the launching ceremony. Zheng Hongfan pointed out that CRI Online with its rich international communication resources is ideally positioned to reflect the panoramic, multi-dimensional and vivid image of Inner Mongolia which is committed to composing a new chapter of development through multiple perspectives.

At the launching ceremony, Fu Lei, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department and Director of the Cyberspace Affairs Office of the CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee, hoped that media reporters will focus on Inner Mongolia's initiatives to actively integrate into and serve the new development paradigm, its practices to accelerate the building of a modern economic system, and its achievements in cultivating and strengthening new drivers for high-quality development.

Zang Julin, Chairman of CRI Online of China Media Group, noted that the activity would help display the real and authentic image of Inner Mongolia to the world through media reporters' lenses and reports, collaborating for a new chapter in the development of Inner Mongolia.

Liu Yilin from the People's Daily made a speech at the ceremony on behalf of the participating media. Fu Lei and Tang Yong, member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hohhot Municipal Committee, jointly presented the flag to the media delegation.

During the six-day event, reporters will visit multiple local places including Hohhot, Baotou, Bayannur, Wuhai, and Ordos. The themed media trip is scheduled to cover a range of fields from modern dairy industry to cross-border e-commerce, intelligent manufacturing, modern energy, ecological conservation, modern agriculture and husbandry, in a bid to reflect the new development of Inner Mongolia through a diversity of perspectives.
