Recently, the opening ceremony of Sanxingdui Cultural Relics Conservation and Restoration Museum was held in Sanxingdui Museum, Guanghan City. The Sanxingdui Cultural Relics Conservation and Restoration Museum covers an area of about 1,000 square meters, including the working area (dynamic presentation of restoration process) and the exhibition area.

The working area (dynamic presentation of restoration process) comprises of cultural relic storage area, pottery restoration room, jade restoration room, metal cultural relics restoration room and ivory restoration room, comprehensively showcasing the real scene of cultural relic restoration work, enabling audience to experience the restoration process of cultural relics and get to know technical methods in an immersive way. The museum has a specialized analytical instrument room equipped with advanced instruments such as scanning electron microscopy, to facilitate the detection and analysis of the composition of cultural relics, providing scientific basis for the restoration.
The exhibition area consists of graphic display area and cultural relics exhibition area. The former adopts the form of cartoon educating the public about six parts of the basic knowledge of protection and restoration, including "What are cultural relics?", "What are conservation and restoration of cultural relics?" and "What are diseases of cultural relics?", etc. The latter mainly shows the latest achievements of Sanxingdui cultural relics restoration and protection. Among the relics on display at the Museum, there are national treasures such as the gold mask, the bronze statue and the pottery pig unearthed from the Guanghan Joint Site. Some cultural relics unearthed from pits 3-8 in the Sacrifice area of Sanxingdui Site will also be sorted out, repaired and displayed in Sanxingdui Cultural Relics Conservation and Restoration Museum.
