Liaoning RCEP Think Tank Established

On June 16, the inaugural ceremony of Liaoning RCEP Think Tank was held in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, both online and offline.

Dai Yulin, Deputy Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Party Leadership Group of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of CPPCC, and Chief Expert of Liaoning RCEP Think Tank Expert Committee; Xu Ningning, Chairman of the RCEP Industry Cooperation Committee and Executive President of the China-ASEAN Business Council; Lim Sung-Hwan, Director General of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra) Shenyang Trade Office; Jun Shigeoka, Director General of the Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro) Dalian Office, and other guests attended and addressed the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Pang Baoguo, President of CCPIT Liaoning Sub-Council, Secretary of the Council’s Party Leadership Group and Director of Liaoning RCEP Think Tank.

The establishment of Liaoning RCEP Think Tank will enable the province to carry out cooperation with RCEP member countries in the fields of economy, trade, technology and investment, helping Liaoning further boost foreign trade and build new frontiers of opening-up.

Dai Yulin elaborated on the three important issues of "who to serve, what to serve and how to serve" after the establishment of Liaoning RCEP Think Tank, pointing out the future development paths of the think tank.

Xu Ningning noted in a video speech that the establishment of Liaoning RCEP Think Tank is of great practical significance for Liaoning to vigorously partake in the RCEP economic and trade circle and promote the "doublepartakeconomic development.

While presiding over the meeting, Pang Baoguo said that Liaoning RCEP Think Tank will bring together experts and scholars across the province to carry out activities such as subject studies, policy consultations and academic exchanges, and provide think-tank support for enhancing Liaoning's economic development.

At the meeting, Pang Baoguo and Chu Beiping, Vice President of Dalian Maritime University, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on behalf of CCPIT Liaoning Sub-Council and Dalian Maritime University.
