Recently, international media workers and well-known photographers from Greece, Canada, Mexico and other countries have come to Songning Bridge, an ancient Shu Road located in Zhaohua District, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, to personally experience the cultural charm of Shu Road.
The bridge body of Songning Bridge is a Ming-Dynasty slate bridge, which, despite the simple craftsmanship, appears more quaint and charming deep in the mountains of Shu Road. The name of Songning Bridge comes from the two towering fir trees on both sides of the bridge. Songning Bridge is also the best preserved ancient bridge on Jianmen Shu Road.
“Walking on the ancient Shu Road, the tree shade and the breeze bring the unique coolness here. In the future, I will definitely come back here for a walk, and I will recommend Shu Road to more friends,” smiling Francqce Nadeau, an international media worker and Canadian photographer.
It is learned that the Shu Roads in Guangyuan City are collectively referred to as Jianmen Shu Road, starting from Qipanguan in the north and ending at Zitong in the south, with a total length of about 270 kilometers, of which the Zhaohua section, 32-kilometers-long, is the most quintessential part of Jinniu Road and the “brightest pearl” on the existing Shu Road.
