From May 13 to 16, the 2026 Asian Canoe Slalom Championships & ICF Canoe Slalom World Ranking Race, Xiasi, China is being held at the Xiasi Canoe Slalom Training Base in Kaili City, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. The event features 12 medal events, including six official events of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Nearly one hundred top athletes from seven countries and regions are racing fiercely through the rapids, showcasing the highest level of Asian canoe slalom.
As the host venue, the Xiasi Canoe Slalom Training Base boasts a 490-meter Olympic-standard course, which is among the best in Asia. The course incorporates water features commonly found in leading international venues and is renowned as “one of the most challenging slalom courses in the world.” It has previously hosted numerous high-level slalom events. Athletes from participating countries can not only experience the excellent competition facilities and professional event organization here, but also enjoy Guizhou’s beautiful ecological environment and stunning natural scenery.
